Dining Program

Dining fees are separate from annual tuition, but are included with tuition payments.  Dining fees are required for all students in preschool - grade 12.  Dining fees are included in tuition for students in ELC Toddlers and Preschool Prep 2's classes.  Visit the Tuition & Fees page to read more.

The nature of the dining program does not allow for families to opt out of the program or the dining fees.

Yes, students are welcome to bring a lunch from home, but the dining fee will not be reduced for those who prefer to bring their own lunch.  POPCS does not allow outside food from fast-food or other restaurants.  

FISD partners with POPCS to work with families who have children with food allergies or special dietary needs.  Delicious and abundant options are available every single day with clear signage and direction to protect students with special dietary needs. Alternatives such as gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian meals are available daily.

FISD’s focus has always been cooking from fresh, whole foods and using quality ingredients. Our mission is to provide wholesome, nutritious meals that fuel the minds and bodies of our campus communities each day. Menus are created with high standards including:

• Fresh fruits and vegetables sourced locally whenever possible
• Foods prepared without the use of artificial colors and flavorings
• In-house roasted turkey and roast beef
• Milk and yogurt sourced from cows that are certified to be rBGH/rBST-free
• Poultry raised with restricted use of antibiotics

The on-site chef creates menus with local/regional flavors and ingredients. The POPCS staff receives guidance, training, and suggestions for on-trend, innovative ideas from FISD culinarians and nutritionists.

We understand that children must have nutritious foods that they like to eat.  Various food choices are served daily, including hot meals, salads, fruits, sandwiches, yogurt, and more.  We are confident that students will be able to find foods that they enjoy and expand their tastes to include new foods.
