Group Classes
The Arts School offers group classes for students in art, drama, piano, dance, and strings.
Join us for Art Adventures, a hands-on art class where we explore famous artists and unique art styles from around the world, past and present! Lower school students will get creative and try new techniques, gaining inspiration from a variety of cultures and art movements. Each session brings something new, giving students a fun and interactive way to develop their skills and express themselves artistically.

Learn the fundamentals of jazz dance style and technique, while also learning fun choreography and dance combos! All ability levels are welcome, but steps will be broken down to the basics to build proper form in skill and flexibility. Performance opportunities available at POPCS games/events and end-of-year Spring Show-offs. Purchase of a performance uniform required, if choosing to participate in school performances/events.

All students will need to purchase and wear black slip-on or “no lace” jazz shoes for class, have their hair pulled back in a hair tie, and wear clothes they can stretch and move in.
Brush off your top hats and dancing shoes because we are Broadway Bound!
Join us for a spring semester of your favorite Broadway scenes and songs from shows like “Wicked”, “Annie”, “Guys and Dolls” and more.
At the end of the semester, the curtain will rise on a NEW single performance showcasing both classes. Sign your child up to become a Broadway Star today!

Suzuki group classes reinforce concepts and repertoire introduced in private lessons. Depending upon the level of the group, it may include such things as pre-Twinkle songs, instrumental position games, review of Suzuki repertoire in an ensemble setting, note-reading on the student's instrument, or playing Suzuki and supplemental repertoire in multiple parts.
Suzuki group classes are only offered to students enrolled in Suzuki private instruction. All Suzuki students must enroll in group class for the duration of the school year. Please consult with your private teacher regarding placement.

Jump into music adventures with games, instrument making, musical scavenger hunts, musician of the month surprises, instrument exploration and introduction to the Ukulele. Music Makers combines active music fun with lots of creativity! Ideal for any student who loves music and all abilities welcome! Beginning Ukulele includes strumming techniques, learning 4 chords and playing favorite childhood songs.
Group classes for woodwinds, brass, and percussion will be scheduled based on interest.

CLASS TERMINATION
Group class enrollment is for the 2024-2025 school year. If a student wishes to discontinue his/her group class prior to May 16, 2025, notice must be given 30 days in advance using the class cancellation form. The student will be financially responsible for the classes that occur within the 30 days from the date that the notice is given, whether or not the student chooses to attend the classes.
