A NOTE FROM DIRECTOR OF COLLEGE ADMISSIONS AND GUIDANCE, MICAH LORENZEN
Hello Eagles! I am blessed to serve as your Director of Academics and College Guidance in the Prince of Peace Upper School. My job is to walk alongside every student in their journey from Upper School freshman to high school graduate. Prince of Peace has a long history of successfully preparing students for this next phase of life. Through our Advanced Placement courses, Academic Support Program, and relational based ministry Prince of Peace graduates are prepared spiritually, socially, and academically for life beyond high school.
I have the opportunity to meet with every student during the school year to discuss their career and interest profiles, course selections, standardized testing, college options and scholarships, and any other matters of interest. I also conduct grade-level parent meetings during the school year and am available to meet with families one-on-one to provide guidance, counseling, and facilitate communication. To make an appointment, students and parents may email firstname.lastname@example.org or use https://calendly.com/mlorenzenpopcs/college-guidance-meeting.
One of my passions in life is running and every good distance runner knows that in order to achieve big goals it takes a steady commitment to hard work. Big goals are not achieved in days, weeks, or months but rather years. I believe God has big plans for each student. My hope is to guide, mentor, and encourage your student to set big goals and commit to working hard. Hebrews 12:1 says “let us run with perseverance”. I look forward to working with you and your child at POPCS.
