A NOTE FROM DIRECTOR OF COLLEGE ADMISSIONS AND GUIDANCE, NANCY WHITLEY
I am pleased to serve the Prince of Peace Christian School High School students in a variety of ways. My job is to prepare families and students about all facets of the college search process. AT POPCS we have cultivated communication with college admission officers at various colleges and universities around the country which helps pave the way for students during the admission process.
Every student meets with me during the school year to discuss their career and interest profiles, course selections, standardized testing, college options/choices, college scholarships, and any other matters of interest. I also conduct conduct grade-level parent meetings during the school year and am available to meet with families one-on-one to provide guidance, counseling and facilitate communication. To make an appointment, families may email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each Fall and Spring, POPCS Junior and Senior students have the opportunity to visit various colleges and universities, both public and private in Texas and Oklahoma. This College Road Trip is a great way to experience various colleges first-hand. At each school our students participates in a campus tour, visits with an Admissions officer, receives information about degree plans, and benefits from an up-close view of the campuses they visit. At most stops we have the privilege of being hosted by POPCS alumni that attend the school to benefit from their knowledge and experience.
I am honored to be a part of the exciting journey to college your child is embarking on. You will find links on the left side of this page I know will be useful, including the college search and admissions process, College Fairs, important dates and scholarship opportunities. I look forward to working with you and your child at POPCS.Nancy Whitley
