Admissions Checklist


Applicants must meet the following age criteria by September 1 of the school year they are applying for:
3-year-old Preschool (Age 3 by September 1)                                                                                  
4-year-old Preschool (Age 4 by September 1)                                                                                 
Kindergarten (Age 5 by September 1)                                                                                                 
Students must demonstrate capability to succeed in our program. Students' records will be carefully evaluated prior to acceptance. Current records, teacher evaluations, and admission testing will be considered.
**If applying to the Early Learning Center, all of the information below may not be available upon application.  Please submit as much information as possible, and update as necessary.
  • Online Application

To begin the Online Application process, Create an Account. Then, log in to your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.

  • Photograph

Upload a recent photograph into the application.

  • Birth Certificate

A copy of the student's birth certificate must be included with the application, and may be uploaded directly into the application.

  • Immunization Records

A copy of the student's current immunization record must be included, and may be uploaded directly into the application.

  • Report Card/Transcript

A copy of the student's most recent report card must be included, and may be uploaded directly into the application. Students who have previously earned any high school credit must submit an official transcript. Click here to download the transcript request form.  The form must be submitted by the parent to the current school.

  • Standardized Testing

Please submit a copy of recent test results, if available. Test results may be uploaded directly into the application.

  • Recommendation Forms

Teacher recommendations are required for all students entering Kindergarten - 12th grade, and for Preschool students who have previously attended a preschool program. Please complete the contact information included in the application. An electronic form will be sent to the teacher when the application is submitted. Teachers are asked to complete the forms online, and they are sent directly to POPCS. Please note that teacher recommendation forms are confidential.

  • Preschool - Grade 5 applicants are required to submit one recommendation form.

  • Grades 6 - 12 applicants must have a recommendation form from each of the following: English Teacher, Math Teacher, and Counselor or Administrator.

  • Application Fee (Non-Refundable)

Once the application is complete, the online system will allow you to submit the information and pay the application fee. The application fee for the Early Learning Center is $200. The application fee for Preschool - Grade 12 is $125.

  • Admission Testing

Admission testing is required for students entering KPrep - 12th grade.  An onsite visit and observation/assessment is required for preschool applicants. Click here for more information about testing.
