Ways to Give

There are a variety of ways to give to Endowment, the EAGLE FUND, and the Legacy Society. These ways include:

Venmo is a mobile payment service by which account holders can transfer funds to POPCS via the Venmo phone app. Once you have the Venmo app set up with your payment information on your phone, you can transfer money to POPCS with just a few taps on your phone. To give via Venmo, just go to "Search People" on the drop down menu and search for the EAGLE FUND @popcseaglefund.

Cash gifts are the simplest and easiest gifts you can make to POPCS. We accept personal checks, credit/debit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express), cash, cashier's checks and money orders.

Please make all checks and money orders payable to Prince of Peace Christian School. All gifts can be dropped off at the Advancement Office or mailed to:

Giving to POPCS just got easier with PayPal. You can give with PayPal funds or with any card linked to your PayPal account. Find us on PayPal at "Prince of Peace Christian School" or sue.joiner@popcs.org.

Make a gift that will benefit POPCS by providing steady, reliable funding through a monthly, quarterly or annual gift. It is easy to do through our online donation forms. You determine the amount and frequency of your donation, and we will charge your credit card at the predetermined interval. We will send you an email confirming the charge and your gift will automatically renew each year.

Matching gifts are a great way to increase the impact of your donation. Many companies match gifts from employees to qualified non-profits. Some even match gifts from retirees or spouses, while others give gifts for volunteer hours preformed.

To initiate a matching gift, complete your employer's matching gift form and send it along with your gift. For specific information about your employer's matching program, contact your human resources department.

DAF is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes. DAF Direct enable you to recommend grants to POPCS directly from your DAF (as long as your DAF's sponsoring organization is participating).

Planned giving is a method of giving that allows a donor to make a major gift in their lifetime or at death as part of the donor's overall financial and/or estate planning. Donors who make planned gifts and communicate such gifts to POPCS become members of the Legacy Society.

There are a number of ways to make planned gifts, including:

Specific Bequest. A specific bequest involves making a gift of a specific asset such as real estate, a car, other property or a gift for a specific dollar amount. For example, you may wish to leave your home or a stated dollar amount to POPCS.

Percentage Bequest. Another kind of specific bequest involves leaving a specific percentage of your overall estate to charity. For example, you may wish to leave 5% of your estate to POPCS.

Residual Bequest. A residual bequest is made from the balance of an estate after the will or trust has given away each of the specific bequests. A common residual bequest involves leaving a percentage of the residue of the estate to charity. For example, you may wish to leave 10% of the residue of your estate to POPCS.

Contingent Bequest. A contingent bequest is made to charity only if the purpose of the primary bequest cannon be met. For example, you could leave specific property, such as a vacation home, to a relative, but the bequest language could provide that if the relative is not alive at the time of your death, the vacation home will go to POPCS.

Gifts of appreciated securities which provide significant tax savings for the donor with regard to capital-gains taxes.

Gifts made in honor of a particular faculty member, classmate, or person who has played a special role in the donor's life.

Gifts made by surviving spouses, relatives, friends, associates, or classmates of decreased members of the POPCS community to honor the memory of an individual.
