Physical education is a key part of education at POPCS. With creative and fun ways to be active our goal is to instill a life-long interest and commitment to exercise.
School-sponsored Prince of Peace athletics begin in Middle School, but many POPCS Lower School students participate in city league sports at the following clubs:

POPCS PEP SQUAD (Preschool - Grade 2)
All children who would like to promote school spirit should join the Pep Squad. Students will meet once a week after school beginning in September. The squad performs at all pep rallies and in Eagle Stadium at one varsity football game during the season. Enrollment is by semester. For information contact Karen Blackwell.
POPCS GYMNASTICS - (Preschool - Grade 5)
The POPCS Gymnastics program is offered at an additional fee for students in Preschool through Grade 5. It’s a program designed to develop a child’s strength, flexibility, coordination and endurance. Gymnastics provides a fun and challenging learning experience. Interested students may participate in the trial class for free. Students attend gymnastics once a week during recess or PE classes. TENNIS - (Grades 3 - 5)
Experience Tennis, the "sport for a lifetime," at this popular structured after school program. Student athletes learn the proper strokes of the following: forehand, backhand, volley and serve. Repetition of all strokes and consistency are emphasized to prepare players for competition. A variety of game-based drills are incorporated in the learning process in a fun, yet competitive manner. coring, camaraderie, sportsmanship and proper court etiquette are introduced. This is the perfect opportunity for students preparing to join the middle school tennis team. Players are grouped according to age and ability level.
