Variable Tuition

At Prince of Peace Christian School, we foster an inclusive, vibrant school environment and we seek to attract diverse, exceptional students and their families to be a part of the POPCS community.

We are mindful of the financial impact a private school education can have on a family. POPCS makes an exemplary private Christian school education accessible and possible through Variable Tuition rates.

Our Variable Tuition program allows families to apply for a reduced tuition rate. POPCS evaluates, through FACTS, a third party tuition management service, each family’s unique financial situation.  Annual income, assets and debts, number of children in tuition-charging schools, unusual expenses, and other factors are used to determine a family's variable tuition rate.

New students applying for admission must have an application on file to be considered for a Variable Tuition rate.  Variable tuition awards will be offered once a student has been accepted for enrollment to POPCS. Please read below for a list of Frequently Asked Questions for Variable Tuition.

The TEFA program was created by the Texas Legislature to give families more choice in their children's education.  The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts administers the program.

Starting in the 2026–27 school year, funds will be made available to eligible students accepted into the program that can be applied to tuition or other approved education expenses.

POPCS has elected to apply and participate in the program.  Applications for families will be available in February 2026 through the Texas State Comptroller.

To learn more about the program and how to apply, please visit the Texas State Comptroller's page.
