The POPCS Portrait of a Graduate is the collective vision and mission of the school and articulates the qualities that we aspire for every student.

GROWING IN KNOWLEDGE

  • has mastered essential skills for college, career and life.
  • has an appreciation for every area of learning.
  • has developed an intellectual curiosity and a desire for continued growth.
  • has begun to examine what factors influence their worldview.
  • is open to new ideas and seeks new solutions.
  • embraces experiences that will challenge, enrich and grow them.

WALKING IN FAITH

  • has a basic knowledge of Christianity and the major doctrines and practices of the church. 
  • understands what it means to believe in Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
  • is committed to spiritual growth through fellowship with other believers.
  • is continuing to form a moral conscience based on Christian teachings, and evaluating their own moral choices with increasing clarity.
  • recognizes the need for forgiveness and reconciliation in their personal relationships.

LEADING WITH COURAGE & COMPASSION

  • is an active participant, not just a spectator, in their workplace, church and community.
  • recognizes their gifts while celebrating the gifts and passions of others.
  • makes decisions based on a Christian moral foundation, not on personality, attitude or pressures.
