Sophomore Alice Anne Belf Wins TAPPS State Golf Title
POPCS sophomore, Alice Anne Belf, won the 2025 TAPPS 4A state golf tournament on Tuesday. The tournament was held at the Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose, Texas. The two day tournament featured 45 of the top golfers from around the state. Alice Anne shot an impressive 75 in the first round of play, and was tied for first place at the end of the day. She held steady and consistent on day two, and posted an impressive second round score of 77. Alice Anne clenched the championship trophy, winning by 4 strokes. Alex Pena, POPCS Athletic Director, said, "I was impressed with Alice Anne's focus, mental determination, and positive attitude throughout the tournament. It was great to see one of our student-athletes hold her composure in such a mature manner."
POPCS is blessed to have Alice Anne! We look forward to watching her soar over the next two years!
