POPCS Students Earn Top Honors at PSIA District Competition

2025 PSIA District Meet Results

Prince of Peace Christian School was honored to host the PSIA District Competition on Saturday, March 7, welcoming students from across the region for a full day of academic challenge and achievement.

The meet brought together 709 students competing in one or more contests and generated more than 1,000 contestant entries overall. Across the day, students participated in 639 objective tests, 234 subjective tests, and 119 speeches, showcasing their talents in a wide variety of academic events.

Prince of Peace students represented the school well, with 147 POPCS entries across the competition. From mathematics and number sense to writing, speech, and academic skill events, our students demonstrated preparation, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence.

We are especially proud to celebrate the achievements of our students in this year’s district meet. Twelve students earned 1st place ribbons, nine students secured 2nd place, and eight students achieved 3rd place. In addition, 13 students earned 4th place, 11 students attained 5th place, and 10 students succeeded in 6th place.

PSIA, the Private Schools Interscholastic Association, exists to inspire student achievement through academic competition, and this year’s district meet was a strong reflection of that mission. The event provided students in grades 1 through 8 the opportunity to strengthen their skills, challenge themselves, and grow in confidence as learners.

The top-performing students from each district will now advance to the PSIA State Meet at Texas State University in San Marcos on Saturday, May 2, where they will compete alongside some of the best young academic minds in Texas.

Congratulations to all of the students for their hard work and achievements. We are grateful for the teachers, staff, parents, and volunteers who helped make the day such a success, and we wish our state qualifiers the very best as they prepare for the next round of competition.
