Lady Eagles Volleyball-- 2025 TAPPS 4A State Champions

The Prince of Peace Christian School Lady Eagles Varsity Volleyball team has soared to the top once again—claiming the TAPPS 4A State Championship on Saturday and adding another historic milestone to an already dominant legacy.

With this victory, POPCS secured its fourth state title under the exceptional leadership of Head Coach Heidi Henke, joining championship seasons 2011, 2013, and 2019. This year’s win is the latest achievement in one of the most remarkable runs in TAPPS volleyball history.

Over the last 19 seasons, the Lady Eagles have built a reputation for excellence, consistency, and competitive grit, earning:

  • 16 District Championships

  • 15 State Final Four Appearances

  • 8 State Championship Match Appearances

  • 4 State Championships

Each accomplishment reflects Coach Henke’s steady leadership and her program’s commitment to developing athletes of character, discipline, and heart.


State Tournament Honors

The 2025 championship roster delivered standout performances throughout the postseason, with several players receiving TAPPS 4A State Tournament Awards:

  • McKenna Morton — Senior, Outside Hitter

  • Izzy Duceska — Senior, Setter

  • Krystal Koehler — Senior, Outside Hitter

  • Ciana Ndoma-Ogar — Junior, Middle


All-State Selections

The postseason accolades continued for the Lady Eagles, with four players earning TAPPS All-State recognition:
