Mission & History
Our Mission...
Prince of Peace Christian School & Early Learning Center provides a Christ-centered exemplary education equipping students for leadership, service, and success.
An Overview of
Our History
Prince of Peace Christian School was established in 1980 as an outreach of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, serving preschool children in the surrounding community. Today, the school serves children from "crib to college" who reside in several surrounding cities in the north Dallas area.
POPCS has a unique history of thinking outside of the box. The best example of this is the building itself. By the mid 1990’s, the school had outgrown its building and grounds, so a 37-acre former car dealership just to the north of the original property was purchased and retrofitted to meet the church and school needs. The church and school moved to the new location in 1996. Since that time, capital campaigns have funded the addition of playgrounds, two gymnasiums, an Upper School Building, an Early Childhood Center, a Fine Arts Center, a Kitchen and Dining Hall, as well as an Outdoor Recreational and Athletic Complex including tennis courts, track, football stadium, baseball field, concession stands and playground. More recently, two SmartLab facilities, updated Upper School offices, new indoor and outdoor student common areas were also built.
Prince of Peace Christian School is uniquely positioned to allow the school to serve several surrounding cities - primarily Plano, Carrollton, and Frisco. POPCS is within easy driving distance for residents of all these cities.
