Content Strategist & Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

The Content Strategist and Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and executing creative, engaging content across digital and print platforms to enhance the school's brand, drive enrollment, and engage the community. This role combines storytelling, social media management, graphic design, and photography/videography to showcase student life, academic achievements, and the school’s mission and culture.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Content Creation & Storytelling: Plan and produce high-quality, compelling stories, articles, blogs, and marketing materials (brochures, flyers) that align with the school’s mission and brand identity and speak to prospective, current, and alumni families
  • Social Media Management: Curate, manage, schedule, and post content and captions for social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok), boosting social media presence and engagement through creative, trend-aligned content
  • Social Media Analytics: Report on social media performance analytics monthly; include data on community engagement and audience growth
  • Multimedia Production: Capture high-quality photos and produce engaging videos/reels for social media, website, and promotional use
  • Website: Capture and keep website assets up to date with fresh content
  • Email & Digital Marketing: Capture and create digital assets for weekly and monthly newsletters, website news articles, and digital and print ads and promotions
  • Collaboration & Events: Work with administration, admissions, and faculty to support marketing campaigns, attend school events, and capture content
  • Analytics & Strategy: Track and analyze content performance, using data to refine strategies for improved engagement and enrollment
  • Photo & Video Asset Management: Research and implement a photo and video asset management system for staff and parents to access
  • Build and manage a student team through the DigiMedia class to capture a student perspective for media channels

Preferred Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–5+ years of experience in content creation, marketing, or social media management, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere), Canva, content management systems, and social media platforms.
  • Creative Abilities: Exceptional photography, videography, and graphic design skills.
  • Communication: Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends to cover school events
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • High level of initiative, creativity, and attention to detail; takes initiative and manages multiple priorities independently; sees what needs to be done and moves forward with minimal oversight
  • Alignment with the school's mission, values, and, in some cases, religious or cultural ethos
  • Ability to brainstorm and collaborate on a variety of projects

  • Resilient and adaptable during high-pressure periods
  • Demonstrates commitment to Christian education and school values
  • Comfortable learning and using various software systems and tools
  • Maintains confidentiality and represents the school with integrity
  • Skilled at managing many moving pieces without dropping details
  • Brings enthusiasm, optimism, and a solutions-oriented mindset to daily work; represents the school with warmth and grace

Confidentiality

The Content Strategist & Marketing Manager may have access to sensitive student/family information. Maintaining strict confidentiality of all information is essential to preserving trust and the integrity of the school's efforts. Any breach of confidentiality or unauthorized disclosure of sensitive school information may result in immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, and may expose the employee to legal liability.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Manual dexterity for supply and equipment handling, and record maintenance
  • Visual acuity for reviewing documents, proofreading, and data entry

Privacy & Security:

  • Maintain confidentiality of all student/family information
  • Secure sensitive database information and maintain appropriate access controls
  • Adhere to school policies regarding data privacy and information security

Schedule

  • Full-time position with routine business hours
  • Onsite presence M-F is required
  • Occasional work activity as required/needed to complete tasks and/or projects that are assigned or arise and/or attendance outside of normal working hours for meetings, training, open houses, and other special events as requested by Director of Marketing and Communication or Leadership is required
