Dear Parent,

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce you to Prince of Peace Christian School.  We began in the fall of 1980 with an enrollment of 25 preschool students.  We have been richly blessed as we now have a student population of over 900 students, ranging in levels from infant through high school. 

The mission of Prince of Peace Christian School is to provide a Christ-centered exemplary education for the whole child.  Students have daily Bible classes, as well as morning devotions, and weekly Chapel Services.  Students in Grades 1-5 experience peer led messages, recognition of the Top POP (Prince of Peace) Students for the week, and listen to student prayer requests.  For Middle School and High School, The Director of Middle School Ministry and Student Life for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church organizes and leads the weekly chapel service in the Youth Building.

We are blessed by having an experienced and dedicated faculty and staff which provide a rich, nurturing environment, fostering growth and instilling Christian values.  In addition to the child's primary teacher, instructors are provided for Spanish, Physical Education, Technology, and Music (including Band and Choir).  All classes rank in the 97th percentile and above on the Mid Year Iowa Test of Basic Skills.
