School Information

What sets Prince of Peace Christian School apart?  In some ways we are like other Christian schools in the Dallas area: we share a faith in God and provide a Christ-centered environment for Prince of Peace Christian School & Early Learning Centerlearning.  In other ways we are different: our status as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, granted by the United States Department of Education, is a rare achievement that reflects the academic excellence of our programs and the achievements of our students.  We earnestly strive to keep parents informed and help them be a part of their child’s education.  But what really makes our institution unique is our comprehensive approach to every student’s progress as an individual, a citizen and a spiritual being.

The Prince of Peace Advantage

  • We serve families with infants through 12th grade students, with a total enrollment of over 940 students.

  • Our outstanding staff of more than 90 professionals includes degreed teachers with over 40 percent holding advanced degrees.

  • We offer academic excellence in a Christian environment, including status as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

  • Each grade level’s average scores on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills have been in the top 10% for the last ten years.  ACT and SAT scores exceed local, state, and national averages.

  • We have a strong athletics program for grades 6 through 12, allowing students to experience team or individual achievement and appreciate the benefits of physical fitness.

  • We seek to provide an exemplary education for each child, including advance placement, computer, literacy, music, foreign language, art, and physical education.

  • Our annual educational and operational budget is over $9 million.

  • We foster a warm, nurturing and safe school environment, where teachers care about students on a personal level.

  • We maintain a secure campus, including the use of a state-of-the-art Raptor Technologies Security System.

  • Our 37.5 acre campus encompasses over 145,000 square feet of school facilities, including 12 acres of new sports fields, gated playgrounds, gymnasiums and a weight room. Our Fine Arts Center was opened in the Fall of 2009.

  • We offer on-site, extended school supervision (The Zone) from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for your convenience.

  • Prince of Peace Christian School offers an Early Learning Center, devoted to the developmental needs of children from six weeks – two years old.

  • Our location provides easy access from Plano, Carrollton, Dallas, Frisco, Addison, Farmers Branch, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Coppell, Richardson and The Colony.

Making Parents a Part of the Process

  • Parents and teachers schedule individual meetings before the school year begins. This allows for open communication and creates a healthy relationship.

  • Parents are invited and encouraged to join us on a regular basis at events such as Bicycle Rodeo, Donuts with Dad, Muffins for Mom, Lincoln Log Cabin Day, Stone Soup Feast, and Harvest Hoe-Down.

  • Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to join their special students at Grandparents Day in November.

  • Student progress information is readily available through RenWeb. ParentsWeb provides parents with quick access to the school events calendar and ability to change their own personal information.
