Early Learning Center
Infant Program | Toddler & Two Year Old Program | Tuition & Fees | Early Childhood Director

Peanut Policy

Prince of Peace Christian School's Early Learning Center is devoted to the developmental needs of children from six weeks – two years old.  Children are prepared with the tools necessary to allow for a seamless transition into Prince of Peace Christian School, which serves Preschool 3 – Grade 12.

The Early Learning Center Prince of Peace Christian School's Early Learning Center

Our goal is to provide an environment that stimulates early developmental growth, as well as prepare children as they begin their spiritual walk with Jesus Christ.  The program takes every opportunity to introduce children to God as it is in these early years of life that children have complete acceptance of faith. Staff members are dedicated to teaching children about Christ’s everlasting love and grace as they model His example.  The program strives to partner with parents to keep them informed and involved in their child’s developmental progress.

Infants will have many sensory opportunities that will encourage investigation of sight, sound, touch, smell and movement.  The environment stimulates the senses and enhances curiosity.  Language development is introduced by baby signs, music and early literacy activities.  Early education emphasizes exploration and self-expression while learning to develop relationships and build trust. As infants become toddlers, they begin a more structured program that leads to the discovery of “I can do this.”  Children begin to have a sense of self-being as they prepare for the transition to preschool.

Infant Program

Our infant program is available for children at six weeks of age.  Infants are divided into small groups; each group has two staff members and additional support as needed.  The environment encourages gross and fine motor development by offering hands-on manipulative/sensory activities and soft climbing areas.  Early Learning Center Infants are also taught and encouraged to use sign language. While it is important for infants to learn and develop new skills, it is equally important that they receive plenty of attention and love.  All mothers are encouraged to participate in “The Rocker Club” where a comfortable area is reserved for visiting mothers to nurse or feed their infant.

Toddler and Two Year Old Programs

Our toddler and two year old programs place a high importance on developing self-help skills in a nurturing environment.  Small class sizes insure that children have the needed attention to build a foundation of confidence, self-esteem and Christian values. Circle time is the foundation for many daily learning activities, as well as small learning centers.
