Blue Ribbon School of Excellence

Prince of Peace Christian School was named a 2004 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education.  Less than one half of one percent of schools in the nation received this honor. In 2004, Prince of Peace was one of only four private and parochial schools in the state of Texas to be chosen for this honor.  This announcement was the culmination of a rigorous year long process of evaluation.  The school first applied to the Council for American Private Education (CAPE), who reviews all applications, and may forward up to 50 school nominations to the US Department of Education.

The Blue Ribbon School program was started in 1982 to honor America’s outstanding public and private schools.  Evaluation criteria include: vision, mission, curriculum, instructional methods, academic success, and teacher/student attendance and retention.
